Group Editorial Appointments (Friday Only)
Editor / agent appointments can be requested on the on-line registration form if you're paying by credit card or by emailing your top three choices to renewal@nwchristianwriters.org. Priority is based on date of registration so register early. Appointment times and names will be available when you check in on Friday, May 18th. After Wednesday, May 16 appointments will only be assigned at the conference.

Sandra Bishop, Agent, MacGregor Literary Agency
Sandra was invited in 2009 to join MacGregor Literary, an agency which is consistently listed in the top five dealmakers on Publishers Marketplace. Prior to agenting, Sandra worked in the marketing department of a major CBA publishing company, and made a living as a freelance writer for nearly a decade. In 2010, her second full year of agenting, Sandra defied the lingering cries of the falling economic sky and placed 30 books for publication and enjoyed the honor of being named “Agent of the Year” by ACFW, a national association of authors who specialize in inspirational fiction. In 2011 she doubled the number of books placed into publication over her first year.
Terry Glaspey, Director of Acquisitions, Harvest House Publishing
Terry was named Editor of the Year for 2011 by the Advanced Writers and Speakers organization, and is the director of acquisitions for Harvest House Publishers. He is also the author of more than 10 books, including Not a Tame Lion: The Spiritual Legacy of C.S. Lewis and 25 Keys to Life-Changing Prayer. Terry has an M.A. in History from the University of Oregon and speaks on topics such as writing, the intersection of faith and the arts, C.S. Lewis and the Inklings, and deepening your spiritual life.
Rachel Kent, Agent, Books & Such Literary Agency
Rachel started at Books & Such as a summer intern while she was attending U.C. Davis and then, after graduating, worked part-time at the agency as an assistant. She graduated from Davis in three years with a bachelor’s degree in English and minors in both religious studies and psychology. Rachel started work as an agent in 2007. Her goal is to develop strong relationships with her clients and to help them to develop lasting relationships with their editors and publishers.
Alexandra Kuykendall, Editor, Mom and Leader Content, MOPS Int’l
At MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International, Alexandra, besides being an editor of MOPS content, is a regular contributor to MomSense magazine and Connections magazine. She was most recently featured in Daily Guideposts: Your First Year of Motherhood.
Carolyn McCready, Executive Editor, Zondervan Publishing
Carolyn was previously the vice president of editorial for Harvest House Publishers and prior to that managed Christian bookstores in the Seattle area. She has worked with bestselling authors such as Stormie Omartian, Lysa TerKeurst, Margaret Feinberg, and Kay Arthur.
Andrea Mullins, Publisher/Director, New Hope Publishing
Andrea has served as publisher/director for New Hope Publishers since 2004. She is a published author of two books and numerous magazine articles as well as a speaker and conference leader. Most recently she led New Hope to embrace digital publishing with New Hope Digital, a magazine-style Web venture from New Hope Publishers that provides readers and retailers with fresh, magazine-style content from top authors in multiple digital formats and apps that connect readers with pod casts, videos, articles and more from www.newhopedigital.com. Andrea is also director of WorldCrafts, a fair trade importer of handmade crafts made by impoverished artisans in over 40 countries. Jim Watkins, Editor, Vista, Wesleyan Publishing House, ACW Press
Jim is an author of 15 books and more than 2,000 articles; editor for Wesleyan Publishing House; speaker throughout North America and overseas; editorial advisor for ACW Press; instructor at Taylor University; and minister of communications at a large church. He has won awards for his books (Campus Life "Book of the Year" and "Retailers Choice Award") and writing and editing (four Evangelical Press Association awards) as well as an "Amy" award for writing in the general market. www.jameswatkins.com.
Marcus Yoars, Editor, Charisma Magazine
Marcus is the editor of Charisma magazine (only the third editor in the publication’s 35 years) and editorial director of Charisma Media. He has worked in publishing for more than 15 years as a writer and editor for magazines, books, newspapers, and online ventures. His unique background (born and raised in Hong Kong as a missionary kid) and ministry experience (worship pastor for more than 12 years) help to shape an editorial vision that includes making Charisma more accessible, relevant, and helpful than ever.
